Empowering Patients for Safer Healthcare

At Naseem Healthcare, we are deeply committed to patient safety and well-being. As we observe World Patient Safety Day on September 17th, we are proud to align with the global theme of "Engaging patients for patient safety" and the call to action to "Elevate the voice of patients!" Join us as we explore the significance of this theme and its profound implications for creating a safer and more patient-centered healthcare system.

Patient Safety at the Heart of Naseem Healthcare

Patient safety is a core value at Naseem Healthcare. We understand that the safety and well-being of our patients are paramount. Extensive research consistently demonstrates that when patients actively participate in their care, significant improvements are achieved in safety, patient satisfaction, and health outcomes. This year's theme underscores the importance of involving patients, families, and caregivers as essential members of the healthcare team – a principle that resonates deeply with our commitment.

Engage the Voice of Patients - A Call to Action

Under the banner of "Elevate the voice of patients!" the World Health Organization (WHO) is urging stakeholders worldwide to take meaningful action. At Naseem Healthcare, we wholeheartedly embrace this call. We are dedicated to ensuring that patients have a say in policy development, representation in governance structures, involvement in co-designing safety strategies, and active participation in their own care. We believe that achieving these goals requires creating platforms and opportunities for diverse patients, families, and communities to express their concerns, expectations, and preferences.

Global Commitment to Patient Safety

Naseem Healthcare stands in full support of the commitment to patient and family engagement embedded in Resolution WHA72.6 - "Global action on patient safety" and the Global Patient Safety Action Plan 2021-2030. These strategies are pivotal in our ongoing effort to eliminate avoidable harm in healthcare, and they are at the heart of our mission on World Patient Safety Day.

  • Empowering Patients and Families: At Naseem Healthcare, we encourage patients and families to take an active role in their healthcare journey, and we provide the necessary support and resources.
  • Advocating Urgent Action: We advocate for immediate action on patient and family engagement, aligned with the Global Patient Safety Action Plan 2021–2030, and we invite all partners to join us in this mission.

Working Together for Safer Healthcare

Naseem Healthcare is proud to participate in World Patient Safety Day 2023 by hosting various activities aimed at fostering safer healthcare. Our commitment extends to national campaigns, policy forums, advocacy events, technical initiatives, and capacity-building programs. We will also join the global campaign by illuminating our facilities in orange, the signature color of the campaign, symbolizing our unwavering commitment to safer healthcare.

World Patient Safety Day 2023 is an opportunity for us to reaffirm our commitment to patient safety and to empower patients in their healthcare journey. By elevating patient voices and actively involving them in their care, we can build a healthcare system that is not only safe but also patient-centered, trustworthy, and equitable.
